The Birth and Life of Maison Depot

Updated: May 29

April 27, 2024 | Did you know I became a member-manager of our art collective and shared studio, Maison Depot in Brooklyn? (Why the name? The closest landmark is the Bed-Stuy Home Depot and we are very funny.) Taking over where Vega Artists left off, some of my longterm studio mates and I assembled a group of artists in our space and expanded our connections to the other artists and makers in the building.

This is us: Angel Hubris - Austance Caroline - Heewon Lee - Jackie Swanson - Jennifer May Reiland - Lea Wülferth - Lindsay Iredale - Ocean McDermott.

The last Saturday in April we hosted a free building-wide Open Studio at 544 Park Avenue.

One of the things I'm always excited about is the range of work on display - painting, photography, sculpture, textile arts, jewelry, and more. I exhibited a new series of paintings and sketches about destruction, peace and after life, tentatively titled "All I dream is ruins."

Thank you all for coming!
