July 6, 2024 | Paris Galleries Yellow Cube Gallery and La Supérette du Quotidien just announced their group exhibition "SUMMER IS OVER" which brings together works created by their artists in residence- including me. Those of us able to be in Paris at the time will attend the opening celebration on Friday, September 6 from 6:20pm to 9pm. I will also be on site some of the other days of the show's run.
The Yellow Cube Gallery and the Superette du Quotidien created this residency program and its culminating exhibition out of a desire to provoke creative and multicultural excitement. By welcoming artists from all around the world into the heart of the Parisian cultural landscape, this residency promotes an exchange of ideas and techniques, enriching the participants' artistic practice. Their aim of promoting accessibility to culture is likewise reflected in how they make the exhibition open to all and for free. Art can serve as a vector of social connections, enriching people's daily lives.
“SUMMER IS OVER” explores themes of nature, history, memory, identity, reflection and the intangible. The result is an eclectic collection of paintings, sculptures, photographs and installations. It features works by the following artists: Aditi Ohri Bhaskar, Pamela Raphael De Araújo, Maite Cunningham, Lyla Dushas, Sigrid Hynell Fleisher, Taylar B. Jackson, Moïka, Soroshi Michelle, Safia, Anastasia Maxime Solodov, Patrick Vandecasteele, Wanxin Wu and Lea Wülferth.
